Update (As of February 9, 2012)

Hi everyone! Things have been a wee bit hectic with prelims coming soon. I've read loads of books meanwhile, and hope to post more reviews soon rather than leaving them in Draftsland. Thanks for all your support and encouragement. Authors/publicists: I'm currently not accepting any review requests as stated in the updated policy, but I do so appreciate that you consider this blog a worthy avenue for your books.

Glee: The Power of Madonna

on Wednesday, 21 April 2010
Oh man, I really hope Jesse has left Vocal Adrenaline for Glee and Rachel (but why?), and that I misconstrued the looks between him and Idina Menzel last episode. Because that would be really crummy if it turns out that it was just an elaborate plan, but Jesse has fallen for Rachel and is willing to leave VA.

Not to mention REALLY predictable.

So far Glee has happily proven me wrong every time the word 'cliche' ran through my mind. Also, that would make the feel good feeling not... uhhh, feel good you know?

That Mercedes and Kurt duet was wowzas. And the cheerleading practice! Those stilts! Sue's one liners poking fun at herself, and ultimately Mr Schuester. Finn being a normal teenage boy! More Jesse!

Jonathan Groff is a wonderful addition/ special guest star to the Glee family. To think that he and Lea Michele are BFFs in real life, and they made out on screen is just smiley LOL-worthy. And of course, the fact that he is a happy gay. Sorry, Jechel or whatever you call yourselves fans. Hah. I'm so rooting for Jesse and Rachel to get together. Sorry Finn! I do disapprove of this obsession unhealthily moving onto the actors themselves. Sure it's fun to speculate, but tsk!

Ahhh, I'm so spazzing out. Especially after finding out that Like A Prayer is a Madonna song, and not a techno song that has been stuck in my head for the past 5 years or so. I have developed a great appreciation for Madonna songs now.

My favourite part: where the three virgins were being seduced in matching lingerie. That scene was just so memorable. Wouldn't the teens FREAK to find out they were doing the deed in MATCHING LINGERIE and at the same time as their teachers?!

Wahahah!

Asides:
I thought it was a heckload of person/product placement, but Gleeful as always. A bit less Madonna mention woulda been nice.

A Happy Gay! I love it! Last night's episode was amazing. Very well executed. Sue had some of the best lines EVER. And the two BFFs Brittany and (can't remember her name off hand), just crack me up!

I've really been enjoying Glee also. We are presently still watching Season 1 but I have been recording Season 2 so I will be ready to go!

I really enjoyed this episode than the last one. It was bringing back fun in Glee! :D

My fave scene would have to be when Tina snapped at Artie :DD and when the girls performed "Express Yourself"... that impressed me the most. The rendition of 4 Minutes and Vogue (best line: "Will Schuster, I hate you") was awesome too!... GAH!!! Can't wait for next week!

Hmm... about Jesse, my mom and I theorize that the director of Vocal Adrenaline and him have a secret relationship and they've concucted a plan to sabotage New Directions by messing with their key players (Rachel and Mr. Schue)...

'nough said ^_____^V
